VERY tasty food, nice decor. We split about five dishes between the two of us. Complimentary zaatar bread: I'm not sure how I feel about this. The bread was hot and seemed fresh, and it gave us some extra ammo to eat hummus with. On the one hand I enjoyed it, and it was free. On the other, the seasoning on the bread for some reason evoked this stale and musty taste to me that I could not get behind. Seven layer hummus: Every single layer was delicious. The falafel crackers were tasty. Not much else to say. Awesome first dish to start with. Brussel sprouts bravas with chorizo: The only disappointment of the night. We thought the added chorizo was a good idea, but it turned out adding more char, salt, and spiciness to already overcharred food just made for an unpleasant eating experience. The charred brussel sprouts were already very bitter in taste to begin with. Crispy pork sliders: I thought this was great. My sister thought it was incredible. Perfectly cooked pork belly, perfect biscuit and sweet sauce drizzled underneath. Between this and the fried chicken, it was hard to decide which I liked better. Bonus fried chicken: This was offered to us "dim sum style" halfway through our meal. The chicken was so crispy, tender, and succulent. It was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Frozen greek yogurt with pumpkin profiteroles: Perfect dessert to round out our meal. I like greek yogurt, and the frozen version here was amazing. Especially when mixed with that honey glaze and those pumpkin cream puffs. If it weren't for the price, I'd come back a lot more often to Sarma. Making reservations here is definitely recommended. It took me searching several weeks ahead to find suitable weekend bookings, which after having eaten here feels totally justified. This place is special.
Lugar aconchegante e ambiente agradável, boa comida e bebidas de primeira, atendimento excepcional, funcionários simpáticos e atenciosos.
Sarma is easily my new favorite restaurant in the Boston area. The setting is super cozy and inviting, the food is varied and insanely flavorful, and the drinks are great. A couple stand-outs: Brisket Shawarma: Awesome array of flavors and textures that come together perfectly. Brussels sprouts bravas: Unbelievably good and I'm not usually a fan of brussels sprouts. Get them with the chorizo. Pea falafel: A nice lighter dish, super tasty. Everything else was excellent as well. We finished the night with the ricotta doughnuts which were good though didn't shine as brightly as everything else. This place certainly is no bargain but its not out of line with other small-plate types of places and worth it for the quality. I will definitely be back.
