Nothing can be better than tasting good lemon pie, blueberry pie and cinnamon rolls. At Savary Island Pie Company, visitors may drink good bitter. Order the great chai latte, lemonade or tea offered here.

Well my goodness - WHAT on EARTH has happened to our once charming, delectable neighbourhood noshery called Savary Island Pie Company? Another landmark local business sent into decline by the whole pointless covid hysteria? The prices now are LUDICROUSLY inflated and the service behind the till gives one the feeling that management has lost all interest either in running the cafe itself or just in pleasing their formerly loyal customers. Portion size has been reduced and the preparatory care one used to taste in the pastry has been noticeably thinned-out. Three seperate times in the last four months we’ve made the trek across the bridge hoping against hope that the place might have returned to its formerly friendly, cozy, affordable iteration, and been acridly disappointed each time - stupid prices, surly service, diminished quality. What a heartbreaker. So long Savary Island - sorry but we prefer to remember you as you were

I have been a very satisfied client of the west van bakeey for the past 25 years. Their products are great and so is the staff. I am so disappointed about how I was treated there today. A staff member raised her voice to let me know why she had to leave the door open; because I was wearing perfume and she was going to get a migraine. She said very loudly I have to work here all day and your perfume is going to give me a headache. Her tone was very disrespectful. It was bad enough that the people I was with commented on her behaviour. It made me very uncomfortable. I later called the bakery and spoke to the manager (who apparently is the same person) and all she could say is "sorry that you were offended". What kind of an apology is this? As the manager of the place, it is her job to train her staff not to behave this way when dealing with paying customers. She should know better. Very disrespectful and disappointing
