Sawano was one of the best lunches I had in Japan!! This is such a cute “mom and pop” place with a sweet old man working hard to run the place. It definitely had a neighborhood feel to it and felt very authentic - almost like you’re being served in someone’s home :) He also brings over these adorable little homemade fruits cut up in the shapes of animals which were super cute and made the whole experience a lot of fun!! Furthermore the prices are very reasonable and portions are large so you will leave happy and satisfied. Definitely recommend for an authentic meal in Kyoto!!
