Food wasn't bad and portions were generous for the price. Place is very clean and charming for such a small place. I felt the food lack the complexity of real Italian dishes which my husband and I experienced in Italy.

Party of 3 for dinner. Scala was the perfect dinner venue on a cold Sunday in Kanazawa. A friendly welcome from Maki who runs front of house, in her cosy 2F 2-room restaurant. Good selection of Italian dishes prepared by chef Nao and nice Italian wine choices (we drank Barbera). Popular spot so recommend booking ahead - we had our concierge at local hotel do that.
