We sit, get the menus that were on the table and try to sort it out because it was in german and we could not speak german.
Then the guy/owner comes and brings an English menu. Immediatelly I notice that the prices in the two menus are different. Anyway, we order and after about 45 minutes! our food arrives.
The classic scnitzel that we both had was good (thats why I give one more star).
We finish and I ask for the bill. The guy comes without a printed bill or any other sort of written bill and just says 33 euros (for two classic schnitzels, one beer and a glass of water) . When I asked for a breakdown he said that the scnitzels were 13 euros each (on the german menu the scnitzels we had was 10 euros) the beer was 4 euros and the glass (not a bottle) of water was 3 euros. When I asked about the tap water he charged 3 euros, he thinks for a second and says that it was mistake and instead he charged us 1 euro each for the splash of ketchup and mayo that was on our plate!!!!
This was really the weirdest sutuation I have ever been in a restaurant, and certainly I never expected this to happen in the center of Vienna.
Obviously not visiting again. For all non german speaking people...please beware.
