We loved Le Scossa on our previous trip to Paris and ate here several times, so I specifically chose it for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately, under the new ownership and with the new menu, the experience was completely different. The salad dressing was so sweet it tasted like jam, the steak with egg was essentially a hamburger patty topped with an egg, and the thyme chicken was so oily my mother couldn’t eat it. Most of our food was left virtually untouched, yet no one asked what was wrong or seemed concerned that we had barely eaten our meals. We were also uncomfortable seeing several mice repeatedly running around the area throughout the evening. When we brought it to the waiters’ attention, we were simply told that mice are a problem in Paris. Sadly, a restaurant we once loved ended up being a very disappointing birthday dinner.
