The Belper Food Reviewer has spoken. I really want to love Scuffle. They do something a bit different that Belper needs, in theory its pizzas are premium and this is reflected in the price and quality of ingredients compared to the likes of Fresh Bite. But I wouldn’t say the price increase always reflects the quality. The pizzas can vary depending on who is working, and have found some staff are more likely to burn the pizzas. Additionally, serving staff while very friendly do need prompting on timing, and remembering to bring over drinks and dips, even when it is relatively quiet. Both points would be easily fixed. The pizza options are great, good variation. The tomato wedges and wedges side options are over-cooked regularly - a similar issue to the pizzas. The drinks options are slightly limited, particularly in the beer department with cans and bottles offered. Scuffle serves Brewdog’s Lost Lager which is a 6/10 beer, made a 2/10 by its CEO, shame there isn’t a local option available provided the number of nearby breweries. When Scuffle’s good, it is great. But it is inconsistent. Very nice staff, and good food options - they just need to make the cooking consistent. Also surpised there isn’t an online order service if people want to takeaway but this may be a result of wanting to manage the order quantity provided they use fresh dough.
