Absolutely Delicious sushi with a very peaceful ambience. We also had the veggie tempura, which was really really good and it was just a very pleasant evening out. I always forget how filling sushi can be even if it doesn't seem like it should be. I was absolutely stuffed after leaving.

On our annual Memorial Day weekend trip to Rhode Island, my fiancé had a craving for Korean food. I know Rhode Island's not really known for Korean food, but a guy can only eat so many fried clams and chowder. Quick search on Yelp and we decided to go to New Sea Shai Restaurant. It's located in this isolated multi-business plaza, keep your eye's open or you might miss it. The restaurant itself is quite clean with cute little Japanese and Korean decorations. I ordered a sashimi appetizer which consisted of 3 pieces each of tuna, salmon, and red snapper. For $13 you think they would give me fresh tuna but instead I got frozen tuna. Let me clarify, my family owned a Japanese restaurant in CT for over 10 years, so I know fresh tuna from frozen tuna. I also ordered a Godzilla Roll, which had shrimp tempura, cream cheese, broiled shrimp, wasabi fish roe and eel sauce on top which was just okay. My fiancé ordered the chap chae which is Korean clear noodles with chicken, mushrooms & Vegs. He also order the kimchi chigae, spicy tofu soup. He thought the food was good, not the best Korean food he's ever had but certainly not the worst. The only problem he did have was the price, $14 each seemed way too steep especially considering the portion size. In conclusion we definitely won't be going back to New Sea Shai when we're in the Rhode Island. If you're a real sushi or Korean lover I suggest you just get fried clams and chowder instead.
