Seafood Palace in Lake Charles is terrible. When we walked in the hostess just grabbed menus and walked away she never said follow me or anything. So she had to come back and tell us that we needed to follow her. Then we sat there for 30 minutes and someone finally came up and said that there was a mix up and that we would get a waitress soon. Once the waitress got there she took our orders and came back with the starters. The rice that they brought to the table smelled like dirty feet, so it was either from the day before or rotten. Then, we got the rest of the food(crawfish and shrimp). The crawfish did not peel, the dip was straight mayo, and they were chewy. Then as you are sitting at the table, flies are landing in your face and food and crawling all over. Also, the potato’s are nasty. The waitress would leave and not come back for 15 minutes and as we are leaving she is just in the front talking. And to wrap it all up, the food was way overpriced. Great seafood at a reasonable price. Eat with the locals and feel at home. Staff was friendly and welcoming.
