Dined here on Tuesday evening table of 4. We found the meals expensive for what you got. My pasta carbonara that I paid extra for chicken..the sauce was thick, & did not taste fresh. I couldn't even spin my fork as the pasta was small short pieces. There was plenty of bacon & chicken but overall not worth the price & was disappointed. Others had schnitzel, parmy & fish. The oysters Kirkpatrick were small & not enough sauce, very dried out worst we've ever had. We also ordered garlic bread & there were 4 of us but only 3 small pieces on a plate. No forks given to eat the oysters!! Fine dining prices but lacks attention to detail & food is average. Won't be going back. Didn't say anything as it was a birthday dinner & they drove 2 hrs to get here. Also staff not dressed very professional. Heard good things about this restaurant and wanted to enjoy but poor service for high prices left me disappointed overall. We came at Saturday night at 6.30pm - took over 20 minutes for them to take a drinks order and they didn't seem to understand the concept of people ordering entrees as mains - so my meal came out as entree then I had nothing to eat while others had their main. Lots of staff on but we had to walk over to bar to get them to take dessert order which they reluctantly took at 8.15pm on a SATURDAY - really? what time did they expect to finish? We were made to feel guilty for being there at 8.40pm and would have loved to order more drinks and stay longer but staff obviously wanted us out. If you are going to charge same price as Gips and Encores then please hire experienced staff - one of the servers came out and asked to clear while two of us were obviously still eating! Feel sorry for the owners and chef as their staff really ruined experience and for what we paid we will go where we know we can expect proper service and more than one round of drinks.
