One of the oldest brasseries in Paris: the interior decor is beautiful and sets the tone for the meal. Staff are extremely polite and professional which I enjoyed. The food on the other hand was good but not wow. However, I’d say it was decent value given the location and atmosphere. I had the asparagus for starters which was quite average. Then the chateaubriand for main. It was very tasty but wasn’t cooked to my liking: I asked for medium and it came pretty rare, French style. The bearnaise and fries were delicious. Overall I still enjoyed it and would come back even if the food wasn’t mindblowing. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €50–60

My wife and I somewhat randomly chose Le Sébillon for lunch whenwe were in France last week. We enjoyed it so much, we returned for dinner the following night! I ordered the 45€ “menu” (a prix fixe) which included 6 raw oysters, leg of lamb, and crème brûlée. My wife ordered the Chateaubriand with Bernaise sauce - very French! We also split a dozen snails. I feel like this was the prototypical Paris dining experience. The staff was attentive and wonderful. The food was excellent. We accompanied the meal and with a formidable Haut Brillette Bordeaux from Médoc. The lunch we enjoyed included duck breast, grilled tuna, and a great white wine.
