The day before your arrival you informed us that you would not be able to travel. We reacted immediately and offered you an alternative date. Unfortunately, you then stopped contacting us at all and the booking remained “active” on Booking. So we had to keep the room free for you. It wasn't until a week after your arrival that you contacted us again and stated different travel periods. We therefore ask for your understanding that we were then no longer able to react. At Booking.com we offer flexible cancellation options (from non-cancellable to 1 day before arrival). We also recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance in the event of illness. We very much regret that you consider compliance with the contractual obligations and our goodwill offer, which was not responded to, as a “rip-off”.More
