Stopped for a drink after a walk along the beach. Friendly service, nice iced coffee, and a cool swing to sit on overlooking the sea. Apparently you can see turtles in the sea sometimes too. Price per person: Rs 1–1,000

We had a great meal at Secret Tide Tangalle for Christmas Day including tuna, ceviche and lobster. The food and presentation was the most refined we have had in Sri Lanka so far! The cocktails were also great and it was nice to have an ice bucket for the wine. Getting the pull boat was a fun novelty and we enjoyed playing a game of pool after our dinner. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help reunite me with some belongings.
