The Indonesian food was very mediocre and expensive. The food was tender, but did not have the authentic taste you would expect from an Indonesian restaurant. The service was good, but not excellent. With its old photos and batik-dressed waiter, the restaurant had the atmosphere of an Indonesian restaurant (located in the Netherlands). We ate there and we all had quite a lot of problems with our intestines to begin with, which was not good. The menu was barely readable (bad printer or something?) and we couldn't see what vegetarian options were available. The waiter didn't know. It's wonderful to sit in a restaurant in the heart of Utrecht where the waiter doesn't know what or whether Vega is on offer. But there was only vegetarian rice table. Ok, then of course just put vegetarian dishes on the menu. For 46 euros per person, a steep price, but we were surprised. We started with a Dutch soup with parsley and it tasted like broth. Then tell them to add sambal if you want it spicier. And by the way, remove containers when they are empty, not when they are almost empty. Main course with bowls was mediocre, a bit wet and squishy, not that exciting, did not feel Indonesian as we know it, it filled our bellies as if we were at a Chinese restaurant. Price/quality is not in balance and especially not being sick and having a lot of intestinal problems was not a good signal.
