On a whim, my friends and I showed up and were absolutely delighted they were gracious enough to serve us without a reservation. For this, we must apologize! From the perfect garden outside, the historic structure and the very vintage traditional ryokan style layout to the impeccable service made this a once in a lifetime experience. Now, the food was incredible in every way, the Teppanyaki chef prepared the meat and vegetables, explained how to best enjoy each element. The soup course was so good, it was a mushroom compote, so savory and sweet it tasted almost like crab! Senryu is an unforgettable experience with such kind and gracious staff and impeccable quality of food. I thought I was in heaven. They even called us a taxi after the meal. If you have the chance to enjoy this, I cannot more highly recommend it. Well done!
