Senti absolutely delivered one of the best meals we’ve had in Pittsburgh. We started with an Aperol Spritz and a glass of Prosecco before diving into the mushroom arancini, which were perfectly crisp on the outside with a rich, creamy center. The standout of the evening was the compressed watermelon salad. Served over a bed of creamy Gorgonzola with strawberry reduction, basil oil, pepitas, and microgreens, it was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Every bite was incredibly fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced. I could happily eat this every day for the rest of my life. For entrées, we shared the veal saltimbocca, which was fork-tender with a beautifully rich sauce, and a light zucchini, corn, and shrimp pasta that tasted like summer on a plate. Fresh vegetables, sweet corn, and a delicate sauce let every ingredient shine without feeling heavy. From the cocktails to dessert-worthy appetizers and perfectly executed entrées, Senti impressed from start to finish. If you’re looking for an elevated Italian meal in Pittsburgh with seasonal flavors and flawless execution, this is a reservation worth making. We’ll definitely be back. I stopped in for a quick glass of wine while I was waiting for my boyfriend to get out of a doctor’s appt and this restaurant was such a lovey surprise! Firstly, the wine was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The owner came out and interacted with folks at the bar and around the restaurant and also went out of his way to hold the front door open for guests. While I was sitting at the bar, the kitchen brought out a little treat for those of us at the bar - a savory watermelon bite with goat cheese, balsamic, and pistachios (pictured) - and it was as delicious as it looks. They specialize in northern Italian dishes and after looking at the menu I can’t wait to come here for dinner. I just popped in just to kill an hour, and now I’m super excited to come back here and have dinner some time! Their hospitality is outstanding and I’m very much looking forward to trying the food.
