We had a surprisingly great experience at this Setouchi restaurant. It’s known as an omakase-style spot, although they do offer an à la carte menu as well. Before coming, we read a few reviews mentioning that they don’t really welcome kids or larger groups—honestly, that wasn’t our experience at all. We came as a group of 5 adults and 3 kids without any reservation. Yes, we had to wait about 30 minutes, which is understandable for a place like this and we came without reservation, but once seated, everything went smoothly. The owner and his mother were warm and friendly, and we felt genuinely welcomed. What really stood out was their kindness—the owner even gave complimentary fries and a pack of chocolates for our kids, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Most importantly, the omakase was delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience that didn’t match the negative reviews from google map. That said, for fellow tourists traveling with kids, it’s important to respect the local dining culture. If your children get noisy, it’s good to gently remind them to keep their voices down. And if you’re bringing a baby who starts crying, it’s considerate to step outside briefly to calm them. At the end of the day, it’s about respecting both the restaurant and the other guests so everyone can enjoy the experience. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We enjoyed two meals in this homey restaurant with nice plant decorations. The food was nice, especially the fried oysters! The owners were friendly and hospitable. We received chocolate from the owner after the meals Thank you! Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
