Came here on a weekday evening and left fairly impressed. It's a proper local pub, the kind that's easy to settle into without feeling like you need to be somewhere smarter. The interior is warm, brick walls, screens up for sport, and enough space that it doesn't feel cramped even when there's a decent crowd in. Food was the main reason for the visit and it didn't disappoint. Fish and chips were well done, good batter, generous portion, came out hot. Prices sit in the £10 to £20 range which is about right for what you're getting. Nothing overpriced, nothing that makes you raise an eyebrow when the bill comes. Staff are where this place genuinely stands out. Friendly without being over the top, attentive without hovering. I've been to plenty of pubs where you're invisible the moment you sit down, that's not the case here. They kept on top of things throughout without needing to be chased. Parking is straightforward too, which makes a real difference. There's good availability right by the pub and you're not wasting ten minutes driving around looking for a spot before you've even walked through the door. For anyone coming by car, it's one less thing to think about. The kitchen runs until 9pm which gives you a reasonable window if you're coming for food after work. It's not trying to be anything it isn't, and that works in its favour. Good food, good service, relaxed atmosphere. A solid local that earns its rating. Would go back without hesitation. Price per person: £50–60

Always enjoy coming down to the Seven Red Roses, staff are so friendly, especially Dan and Naomi. Food is good and service is 100%.
