Kung Pao Sauce To Wisk. - 2 tbsp finely chopped chives - 2 tbsp Soy Sauce: Regular or light soy sauce for that essential savory, salty foundation. - 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce: Adds a deeper color and a touch of molasses-like richness. - 2 tbsp Chinkiang Vinegar (Chinese Black Vinegar): Crucial for that authentic, complex, fruity tang. (Substitution: Balsamic vinegar combined with a splash of rice vinegar). - 1 tbsp Shaoxing Rice Wine: Adds depth and aroma. (Substitution: Dry sherry). - 1 to 2 tbsp Sugar: Brown sugar or granulated white sugar to balance the intense vinegar and heat. - 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil: Whisked in at the end for a nutty aroma.

Unapologetically Overcharged First time customer. Ordered 2 regular hamburgers with fries ($10), 2 bottled waters, and a milkshake. Upon sitting down, notice the receipt was for $51.00. Asked the girl who took the order how much the hamburgers were. She said $18. Pointed to the menu on wall next to her that showed $10. “My computer says it’s $18” No apology, no additional explanation. Minutes later an owner or manager comes out and changes the price on the menu board from $10 to $18 while we were sitting right there. Never once acknowledged us. Now a regular hamburger and a bacon cheeseburger deluxe are both $18. All I will say about my meal is that the milkshake was ok. You can decide for yourself if a single patty hamburger served on a paper dish with string fries and a tiny paper cup of ketchup is a good value for $18. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

You ordered Shack Burgers which are $18. A hundred customers have had Shack Burgers since …Not 1 complaint. We are an outdoor, clambar. We have been here for 100 years. Yes ,we don’t use the good china for obvious reasons. I get the feeling that you complain about a lot of things if given the chance. You were informed that the Shack Burgers (Not a single patty) were $18 and the response was we still want them. I’m sorry food is pricey…have you been to the grocery store recently??? And the price wasn’t changed in front of you. They have always been $18 and the black board was being corrected because someone or somehow it got smudged. We are not in the business of trying to deliberately deceive anyone. I’m sorry you took issue with my Shack…maybe it’s NOT your kind of place.

The Shack looks like a fresh seafood spot, but don’t be fooled, it’s all frozen food straight off a Sysco truck. My fried shrimp were over-battered, barely cooked, and mostly breading. Six tiny pieces for $24. They pretend it’s fresh and made on-site, but it’s clearly frozen junk dropped in a fryer. Great atmosphere, terrible frozen food. Why take shortcuts when you have such a good clientele and abundant clientele. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
