Almost hidden away under the Channings Hotel in South Learmont Gardens and aptly named after the explorer that lived in the area long ago, Shackleton's Bar and Brasserie serves the equivalent of pub food but in a much nicer and intimate environment. It feels cosy and warm, and that makes it perfect for a date night. I had their Scottish Salmon platter for starters (which was amazing) and then the butternut squash risotto (also very good and creamy).
