As we were staying in a nearby hotel, we walked past Shady Tropics, which immediately stood out as a relaxing, peaceful place to have dinner. The food was excellent — the best tuna steak we had in Sri Lanka. It was perfectly cooked, not overcooked like in many other places. We also had the prawns, which were just as good. A nice touch was the Starlink internet for those who want to get a bit of work done along the way. There’s also plenty of space for kids to run around. It’s truly a shady, hidden tropical gem. I wish there were more places like this on the island. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
