Sometimes you must question the nature of the divine. Is this a slice of heaven? Perhaps it is created by the devil? This is just such a place. I don't think humanity is ready for the twin temptations of all you drink alcohol, and all you can eat pizza. To provide such a hedonistic challenge and combine it with a generous two hour time limit is something only the Japanese can achieve. If this restaurant were to exist in the west, armed police would be required during opening hours and the price would be far beyond the palty 3000 yen I paid. This is a place that doesn't just provide food and drink, it transcends any notions of decency, moderation or stigma; somewhere in Dante's circles of hell a shakeys exists, there to trap unfortunate souls in a cycle of gluttony. This exotic parlour of the bizzare allows you to experience both heaven and hell, right here on Earth. Whatever the nature of the incomprehensible souls that created this monument to hubris, they have even deigned to grant us mere mortals one final boon; it has been constructed underground, so that you may hide your sin from God. As a big regular of the USA AND Philippines' Shakeys, this one sadly lands in 3rd place. The familiar Shakey's flavor is there, but it tastes subtle in comparison to the bold differences between the formers' locations. The pastas weren't any less bland, and the Mojos were too thick then I prefer. However, the Pros were the commonly good curry, the unique chili nachos, and I'd say this is the only place I know that does anchovies as a topping right. It's not strong as anchovies are known for, and it's where the subtlety actually shines. Unlike the USA locations, it is AYCE but it's ALL DAY. It also starts with getting a number (which was called out in japanese that day). It comes with a free drink bar, or the alcohol bar for extra charge. You also get a wall outlet for your device if needed. There was a small crowd when I came in, but various pizzas and food are up for grabs and were constantly being sent out of the oven to accommodate everyone. IMO, this place is worth a try for US$22~, but the true Shakey's experience is elsewhere. Meal type: Lunch Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
