Shalimar Restaurant is pretty near Prinz-Emil-Garten. Have a good time here and share nicely cooked chicken tikka, naan and butter chicken with your friends. At this restaurant, clients can try great mango lassi. Guests don't highly appreciate bitter at Shalimar Restaurant.
The cute staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. The fast service is a big benefit of this place. From the visitors' point of view, prices are low. The ambiance is quiet, as people find it. Google users awarded this spot 4.2.

Highly recommended authentic Punjabi (Indian-Pakistani border area) cuisine. I had Dal Palak (vegetarian spinach/lentil dish) and my partner lamb biryani. Both were very good. Plus a Marsala Chai that tasted just like in the country. The operators (formerly in Bessungen), chef, and waiters are all very forthcoming, attentive and friendly. It's a real win for Arheilgen Vegetarian options: Well-stocked vegetarian dishes that are also very tasty Parking: Parking spaces at the SGA - can be a bit tight during peak times but overall not a problem Wheelchair accessibility: Both entrances are ground level and wheelchair accessible Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection, Vegetarian menu or section Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot

We were there this Saturday and were very excited about the Shalimar, not least because of the mixed reviews. To put it bluntly: we were completely satisfied. The service was very friendly and the waiting times were absolutely reasonable despite the very busy restaurant. The food has been really good (we were four adults and four children and were therefore able to take turns trying different dishes). I found the portions absolutely appropriate, even for us "sturdily built" men. The staff offered us several times to deliver rice - but this was not reflected on the invoice. When it comes to the ambience, you have to make slight compromises: it is and remains the SGA's "sports home". The Shalimar team is trying to set accents as far as possible - perhaps something will work here over time. Most of the dishes are priced between 15 and 23 euros, which I find to be absolutely reasonable considering the increased food prices and the quality of the food. Conclusion: we would love to come back - clear recommendation.
