This shop is sadly permanently closed since 5/30/24. It was my go to for delicious Shanghai dumplings (xiao long bao), potstickers, the freshest fried bread (you tiew), sweet soy milk, and ja jiang mein. So sad I didn't get to say goodbye and eat here one last time before they closed. Will always have such happy memories of coming here with family Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is based on my experience of their soup dumplings only. These are supposed to be filled with a good spoonful of hot soup when you bite into it, hence the name. Thus, when I order some, I'm not hoping to just get lucky that one of my dumplings will come with soup inside.

None of the pork and crab soup dumplings had any soup inside...when they arrived, it was clear they rushed the wrapping and everything had spilled inside the bamboo steamer. It's really a shame...it wasn't that busy when we went either. Regular pork dumplings were juicy, but also same problem. It's just not soup dumplings.

Cleanliness and decor is about the same as you would expect in any hole in the wall restaurant. Service was adequate, but food was subpar. Maybe their other dishes are better, but if your shop's name is Shanghai Dumpling shop then you should really be excellent at your namesake.
