If you want to remember Al Koot Fort, come to this restaurant first. International food is nice here. Many visitors find that you can have perfectly cooked chicken shawarma, beef and beef shawarma here.

I recently visited Shawarma Station (Souq Waqif) for the first time. While I genuinely enjoyed the food I ordered, I was unfortunately disappointed with the overall service. The restaurant was not particularly busy at the time, which made certain aspects of the service stand out even more. I noticed a lack of engagement with customers, and there seemed to be minimal effort to create a welcoming or attentive experience—especially from the male service staff member. What concerned me the most was the lack of professionalism displayed by the staff. A female staff member repeatedly took bites of a sandwich kept at the cash counter, going back and forth between eating and attending to tables and interacting with customers. At the same time, a male staff member brought a piece of a sandwich from the kitchen, walked through the customer seating area, and continued attending to customers while eating. This is not something I would expect in a dining environment. I do understand that working in the F&B industry can be demanding and that staff may not always get proper breaks. However, the management should consider implementing proper break times so that staff can eat comfortably without compromising hygiene and professionalism in front of customers. Additionally, several items listed on the menu were unavailable, which added to the disappointment. Overall, while the food was good, the service and overall experience did not meet expectations.
