The Lake Shearwater Tea Rooms is a wonderful place to visit for a bite to eat or a cup of tea after a walk around the lake. The setting is idyllic and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The menu offers a great selection of homemade food, from breakfast to dinner, as well as delicious cakes and refreshments. Prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent. The tea rooms are also dog friendly and offer toilet facilities for customers. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Unfortunately, there have been reports of rude management not allowing pregnant women the use of the toilets which is totally unacceptable. Apart from this incident, the experience at Lake Shearwater Tea Rooms is generally a positive one.

In response to a comment from ‘Bren’, I would like just to say a huge thankyou for letting existing and new customers/walkers etc feel incredibly safe in the knowledge that Helen and Lee are going up and above board in providing a safe environment for all their customers during this very strange time with COVID 19. But I guess you always get the odd rogue couple who don’t seem to understand that the toilet facility is for customers of the tea rooms who consequently have their details taken for track and trace purposes, Any person with the smallest slither of intelligence would not only understand this but appreciate to the highest level that Helen and Lee are doing everything to protect their customers. If you and ‘heavily pregnant ‘ wife don’t appreciate this, then you should be ashamed, I assume that if people were allowed to just wander in and out of the toilets you would then be screaming that no safety measures were in place!! But thanks to your ‘ranting’ review, THANKYOU SO MUCH! You have just let every single person visiting or thinking of visiting this beautiful tea room, that not only will they get superb food but also are being kept as safe as possible! Well done Helen, Lee and all the team, your doing an amazing job!

This is the face of Lake Shearwater Tea Rooms who wouldn’t allow my 7 month pregnant wife to use the toilet because we hadn’t bought anything yet. We come to Lake Shearwater most weekends and always enjoy lunch after our walk, but not anymore. It is disgusting not to allow a pregnant woman to use the toilet in a cafe before they have spent money.
