Absolute scam. I swing by here today to grab some nicotine pouches. I grabbed a pack of meatball things for later (£1) and then walked to the counter to buy some Velo nicotine pouches. They had Nordic spirit for £7.99 and there was a couple of Velo pots tucked away at the side. I asked for those ones as usually they’re cheaper. The man behind the counter (3:49pm 02/06/26) slightly larger guy. Scanned them and the numbers on the till all changed extremely fast as if he had been doing this a while. The price came to £9. I payed and walked off wondering how it rounded up to £9 as it should’ve been 8.99 and that was if he had charged me for the right pouches. Now I know it sounds extremely ridiculous to quibble over 1p but when I turned back he had already started to open the till and get one penny from it. All while having a very smarmy smirk on his face. He handed it to me before I finished my sentence and chucked under his breath. If he had asked if he could round it up or just gave me the change I wouldn’t put it in a charity box etc as to do when receiving coins back. But the cheek of this man to chuckle and smirk as if he was mocking me for wanting my money back that he had knowingly scammed me out of boiled my blood. I will never be stopping here again. I will be contacting the store manager. If no reply to this review. If that doesn’t work I will go to trading standards and they will contact Shell themselves. YOU HAVE HIRED A BUNCH OF SCAMMERS. I know it’s 1p but if he doesn’t that to every customer all day long eventually the garage has made a decent extra income unlawfully.
