I don't usually comment about food places because I am not a very picky type. However, my experience at Sherpa's yesterday was dismal and I can't help writing this down. We went for dinner and ordered momo platter, chicken tikka masala, daal bhat with chicken curry and chili chicken. Service was ok but food quality and presentation was awful. Momo sauce was bland and momos themselves lacked flavor. Chicken tikka masala and chicken curry had the same base sauce- couldn't tell which was which. Chicken pieces were dry and bland. The menu said daal bhat menu comes with pickles, never got any and I asked the server. They said they didn't have it. Lentil portion was super small and again... bland. I really wish I could give rave reviews but based on my experience this place doesn't deserve any. Hope the management reads this and improves its quality.
We stopped by here on the way to Estes Park from Denver. They were only serving on the patio today and the current temp is 94 degrees Fahrenheit, so if being hot isn't something you enjoy, call ahead. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. I tried the Yak Tibetan Noodles and my husband had Lamb Korma. We tried the the chai (okay), stuffed Nan (fantastic) and the vegetable spring roll (good).
Gave burnt rice hidden under white rice. Lamb was extremely hard and not fresh. Not only the food was bad, their service was terrible from beginning till the end--did not give us the seat mat which they were putting on the bare chairs before a customer sits, gave check when we were not even midway in our dinner...I am really wondering how they got such raving reviews on google or whether nonwhite population is not invited there.
