Beautiful location with stunning views of the Daugava River and a great atmosphere. The food is tasty, the ingredients are fresh, and the presentation is modern and elegant. You can see that the restaurant aims for a high standard and pays attention to quality. However, the service could be more attentive. Having sushi arrive during dessert with the explanation that “we called you” is not the level of coordination and guest care one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Better communication between the kitchen and front-of-house team would make a noticeable difference. Overall, it is a very enjoyable place for dinner, with excellent views, a stylish setting, and good food. That said, I was hoping for a bit more of a “wow” factor. The potential is definitely there, but there is still some room for improvement before it becomes a truly outstanding dining experience. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

One of the best dining experiences in Riga. Amazing food, beautiful presentation, and the best view in Riga. The spacious terrace overlooking the waterfront creates a truly special atmosphere, especially during sunset. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing, and the staff are professional and friendly. Definitely worth a visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Shiyuzu is an exceptional Asian-oriented dining experience that impressed from start to finish. The ambiance is beautifully designed—modern, stylish, and incredibly inviting, with stunning wooden paneling, unique decor (like the intricate, nest-like structures and decorative wall panels), and luxurious, comfortable seating. The outdoor patio/terrace offers a fantastic view on a river ! making it perfect for a relaxed meal with great scenery. The food was a true highlight. Every dish was presented with artistry and tasted superb. We started with what appeared to be delicious fried croquette-style bites (perfectly crispy with a creamy and fresh garnish) and fantastic tempura shrimp. The shrimp were lightly battered, perfectly cooked, and served with a zesty lime wedge and a creamy dipping sauce garnished with chives. The more adventurous dishes were equally successful: a refreshing and colorful salad/ceviche-style dish with diced fruit mango and avocado in a vibrant sauce, and a side of rich, smooth orange purée. The main course of sliced, perfectly seared meat (likely iberico pork, a high-quality cut was succulent and flavorful. Shiyuzu successfully merges sophisticated design with high-quality, inventive Asian cuisine. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience. A must-visit!"
