We discovered this small, local, family run izakaya because we were staying around the corner at Fujiya (see my 5 star review on Google reviews). It was warm and humming when we arrived - full of locals, which is always a good sign. The service was friendly and professional from the very start. Delicious food, lovely sake and shochu, and the service was prompt enough for a relaxed evening. I loved the modern Japanese interiors - blonde timber throughout and tatami in the rooms. We sat up at a bench - very comfortable. It was just one of the most enjoyable, intimate dinners I can remember. The epitomy of unpretentious elegance.
