After living in China for over a decade and recently moving to Tokyo, we were really craving a proper mala hotpot. We chose this restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year 2026, and it truly hit the spot. We went for the yuan yang pot (half-and-half soup base), choosing the mala and chicken soup combination as recommended. The chicken soup was surprisingly good! I expected a lighter broth that would only develop flavor as ingredients cooked in it. Instead, the soup base was already rich and flavorful on its own, and even with some herbal notes. On a cold early spring day, it was sooo comforting. The mala soup delivered exactly what it should — spicy with a proper punch. Service was fast and attentive, and the presentation was great. The environment was lovely too, with good natural light and a pleasant view. Most importantly, the value for money was very good for what we paid. Highly recommend — we will definitely be back again.
