I came here for lunch with a colleague at work. It's a pretty nice little place for a quick work lunch. We ordered a hot pot and a bento box with salmon. The dish came up really quickly. No waiting line around noon. We ordered a hot pot and a bento box. I couldn't remember the details. Foods are ok but not impressive.

I've eaten at Shinbashi numerous times, primarily getting its Shinbashi bento box. The service is always great, and I love the food. Where as other sushi places can feel crammed, Shinbashi uses its space very well and I never feel crowded even when it's very busy.

This was definitely the best Japanese food I've had in a very long time. It is authentic and innovative. The atmosphere is upscale-casual with an outdoor seating area. It is modern without being overwhelming or pretentious. We started with the grilled eggplant, tofu paste, shrimp fried dumplings and then Sushi Pizza. The eggplant was smooth, soft and tender with a lovely miso coating on the top. The eggplant melted in my mouth and was so flavorful. The tofu was actually sesame seeds molded into a paste in a light soy broth. It was creamy and smooth and something I've never had before but hope to have once again. The shrimp dumplings were light and not greasy. However, the star of the show was the sushi Pizza. The crust was rice and had a crisp Edge to it and was topped with tuna and salmon sashimi. A spicy mayo topped that along with some thin crispy noodles and a hoisin sauce. I've never had something so indulgent and innovative as far as sushi. I will be thinking of this place for a very long time and hope to return on my next trip. Honestly, if you're in the neighborhood or traveling to NYC, this is the place to go. It is Well price, fresh, clean and definitely worth trip!

We love serving Japanese food beyond sushi and we're so happy you enjoyed your visit! Thank you so much for your kind words! PS - it's actually our eel sauce and lightly-fried julienned potato on our sushi pizza!
