Very disappointing experience. Dirty tables, dirty cutlery, long wait, and food that tasted like cheap supermarket frozen food. I even personally saw the food being taken out of frozen retail-style packaging. This is not what I expect from a place described as a “secret gem.”The worst part was the bill: 4,700 yen for 4 dumplings, basic hash browns, one draft beer, and one iced tea. After I questioned it, the price suddenly dropped by 1,000 yen, which made the whole thing feel dishonest. Still overpriced even after that.On top of that, I was not given a receipt, so there was no clear way to understand what I was actually being charged for.Based on my experience, I find the positive reviews very difficult to trust. Hidden above Shibuya's famous scramble crossing lies a sanctuary that locals whisper about: Shin's. While tourists below jostle for the perfect crossing photo, those in the know climb the stairs to find themselves in what feels like a rustic Tokyo apartment, transformed into an intimate bar. The magic of Shin's flows not just from its carefully curated drinks – though the selection of wine, beer, sake, and shochu would impress even the most discerning connoisseur. Rather, it's Shin-san himself who elevates every visit into something special. His encyclopedic knowledge is matched by an innate talent for making strangers feel like old friends. As dusk falls and Shibuya's neon begins to glow, there's no better spot to savor both your drink and the view. This is Tokyo at its finest: exceptional service, expert knowledge, and the rare ability to feel perfectly at home in the heart of the world's largest city. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
