Amazing service from Marlon/Brando. He is very accommodating and friendly. Very attentive with our orders and has a good sense of humor as well. The food was amazing. I would definitely come back here. They were able to accomodate all 7 of us during their busy hours.

I love it here!! First time I came here, we ordered a lot of dishes and enjoyed all of them! Food was really flavorful and high quality. Great service and ambiance as well! Felt like I was in Japan. Definitely will be back to try more dishes!

Introduced to us by a friend, this place has been a delightful surprise. We typically find ourselves here during the late hours when most other eateries have already closed. Parking is a breeze, with free spots right in front of the restaurant. Depending on the time, it can get crowded, but they allow online reservations through Yelp, so be sure to book ahead. Stepping inside, the decor instantly transports you to Japan, setting the perfect ambiance for your meal. For those curious about the culinary magic happening behind the scenes, sitting at the bar provides a front-row view of the chefs expertly grilling skewers. Ordering is done directly on your phone. The menu boasts an array of skewer options, spanning from meat to seafood, each offering its own unique flavor profile. They pair beautifully with the soy sauce and egg yolk dipping, elevating every bite. A standout favorite of mine—and one I highly recommend—is the Foagura Don, featuring foie gras, pineapple, and chestnut. The sauce is divine, and the combination of flavors is unexpectedly delightful. Recently, they've expanded their seafood offerings to include sashimi, as well as an all-you-can-eat option. We sampled the salmon sashimi, and the taste is nothing short of premium, but still cannot be compared to high end sushi restaurants. Now, onto the caveats. The cooking time for grilled skewers can be a tad lengthy, so if you're famished, plan accordingly, especially during the late-night hours. Additionally, portions are on the smaller side compared to the price, so be prepared to order multiple dishes if you're looking to leave with a full stomach. Overall, it's been a fantastic experience, and I'm already looking forward to returning to try out the all-you-can-eat option. If you're in the mood for a culinary adventure that ventures beyond the typical late-night fare, Shinya Shokudo is definitely worth a visit.
