Our dinner at Shion was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip to Tokyo. From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported by the serene and beautiful ambiance—traditional Japanese interiors that felt both elegant and warm. Every detail was thoughtful, setting the perfect stage for what turned out to be an extraordinary culinary journey. The kaiseki course was nothing short of superb—each dish was artfully presented and bursting with seasonal flavor. The sake pairings they chose for us were absolutely perfect, elevating the meal in a way that felt seamless and special. A huge part of what made our evening so memorable was Tomomi. Her kindness, warmth, and attentiveness made us feel genuinely welcome. We loved chatting with her about the dishes, and her recommendations for things to do around the city. She truly made the experience feel personal and unforgettable. We are telling all our couple friends that Shion is a must for any Tokyo itinerary.
