Never leave reviews but needed to with this. We have had some okay meals from here but recently we ordered Sirloin Surf & Turf. Prawns were small and shrivelled. The steak was chewy, fatty, hard to cut. Chips were dry and over done. It was the worse steak I’ve ever had. More than likely frozen at some point then, after being cooked, sat under a hot light for ages. Same with the cheese and bacon burger. I’ve never saw a more dry and boring burger. We asked after 30mins if our order in the app had gone through and 30 seconds later the food came out. Which proves it had been sat there waiting to come out. Both plates were too hot to touch. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Popped in for a couple of afternoon drinks with my partner. Place was lovely and clean and had a few people in giving it a nice relaxed vibe. The lager (Asahi) was lovely and refreshing and my Mrs enjoyed the wine selection too. But most importantly the staff were a credit to the place Paul and Lauren behind the bar were a joy , really welcoming and fun couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a very enjoyable time. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a fantastic experience at The Ship Inn Pub in Rainhill thanks to Victoria. Her customer service was absolutely excellent from start to finish. She was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. It’s clear she genuinely cares about customers and creates a great atmosphere in the pub. A real credit to the team — we’ll definitely be back! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
