Popular spot amongst locals and tourists alike - queue formed before its opening. Seating was spacious though limited due to its small space. But it cleared up fast during the weekdays as the patrons ate their meals and left timely!! We ordered the Wagyu Ramen set with the special plate and the spicy sesame ramen. I highly recommend the Wagyu Ramen set with its generous portion and creamy stock and assortment of small bites Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000

The Creamy Chicken and Pork Ramen is easily one of the most unique and amazing bowls I've ever had. The line was long, but absolutely worth the hour wait in the rain. The staff is friendly, efficient, and keeps things moving. The lobster ramen was out of season, giving me the perfect excuse to come back. While the Wagyu rice bowl was interesting, the sweet sauce and greens weren't quite my thing. Definitely go for the pork bowl instead—the meat completely melts in your mouth. The free tea was a great final touch! Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000

Visited Menya Shishimaru on a Sunday 16.30 PM (it opens at 17.00) — we were the first in line, but by 17.00 there were already 20+ people waiting, so timing definitely matters. Cozy shop with only ~13 seats (one table for two, the rest counter seating). Ordering is via a vending machine (cash and Suica accepted, no credit cards). Cold hojicha is provided. Ordered the A5 wagyu ramen. The beef was tender but slightly chewier than grilled A5, which is expected. The broth was the highlight — incredibly rich with a subtle mushroom depth. Adding their olive oil + black pepper garnish really elevates it. Overall, really solid. I’d definitely come back — though I’d skip the A5 next time and try one of their limited dishes or the shoyu. Love the concept, and cool to see they’ve even expanded to Madrid (they have a Madrid-inspired ramen bowl too). Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
