Sugamo has a popular shopping street that is said to be Harajuku for the elderly, and Togenuki Jizo is one of the most popular temples in Tokyo. The popular Jizo-dori shopping street is lined with restaurants selling sweets and Japanese sweets. This store is one of them. I came across this store while visiting Togenuki Jizo and walking around the shopping district. I'm tired from walking and it's cold, so I thought I'd have something warm, but there was amazake. I bought amazake and also some strawberry daifuku. You can eat it inside the store, but if you have the chance, let's buy some. Drink amazake. It's quite sweet and delicious. It's authentic because it brings out the flavor of the rice. This is delicious. The daifuku and mochi I ate after returning to my room had a nice texture and taste. As expected, it's a store located in a popular shopping district.

Shogetsudo, a long-established Japanese confectionery shop in Sugamo founded in 1928 Togenuki Jizoson, the symbol of Sugamo Jizo-dori Shopping Street Established in front of Koganji Temple for 92 years, a long-established Japanese sweets shop Shogetsudo's storefront is traditional salt daifuku, millet mochi, mugwort While lined with sakura mochi and monaka, modern chocolate dumplings and There are also ice creams, so it's fun for all generations. This change seems to be a response to the current sensibility of the young proprietress and the increasing number of foreigners and young people on the street. Speaking of Sugamo, the famous Japanese confectionery is salt daifuku. The selling point here is the three-color daifuku, which can be enjoyed with or without beans, and you can enjoy three types: millet, mugwort, and normal. Recent hits include strawberry daifuku and bite daifuku, which are not found in other Japanese confectionery shops. The chocolate dumpling-shaped ice cream that became a hot topic on TV is also very popular with children. After the store renovation, an eat-in space will be set up where customers can eat the store's products on the spot. Amazake and sakuramochi are especially recommended for this winter season.
