Don’t let the weird random kitchen tables and (potentially) very loud interior scare you off. The food was incredible for the price point. Very talented sushi chef, creative food - though their menu/presentation/execution needs some work. Their non-hibachi/teppanyaki dinners were great, not sure why they don’t put a bunch of booths and better tables in. We sat at the bar on a Monday night and it got a tad rowdy behind us/big groups/crying babies - though I am a tad sensitive to this. Bartender was attentive but overwhelmed with the to go orders (which I’m glad they’re so busy!) Food was delish. For 3 people to eat and drink well I thought was very reasonable, about $40-$50 per person with tip. Fish was fresh, sushi presented nicely, everything was the proper temperature when served and tasty. If the owner of this place took a hard look at some things and gave it a little bit of polish/love and some more/better seating for the non-hibachi customers, this place could be a gem. Also seems like maybe giving the sushi counter a small countertop fryer would help with the flow in the kitchen. Aside from some frayed ends/things that could be polished up, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. And this is coming from an experienced restaurant owner and chef with Michelin 3-star experience. When to Shogun Palace with my wife's side of the family. My sister in law and nephew had been before and had good things to say. At first glance the place doesn't pop out the interior is darker but not uninviting. We had Hibachi so we were seated quickly because we got there at open. The hibachi are was a bit dirtier than I expected with some older food in some of the gaps. The wait staff was friendly and kind our hibachi chef was fantastic and entertaining his name was Brandon, great guy hope he keeps cooking! The food was excellent the miso soup was good salad was average. We had a California roll as an appetizer it was good. The steak was great that I had and so was the chicken and vegetables. The only cons I have are the very limited child menu and that the high chair we were provide for our son wasn't tall enough for the hibachi table. I also wouldn't recommend taking a child less than 3 years of age unless they can eat the hibachi food. Our little guy wasn't that thrilled with it though, but that was our poor decision. This review only gets a three star because of the cleanliness.
