If you walk to the back of the souvenir shop, there is a simple but large diner serving affordable meals. Even the locals who work in Tsuwano eat here and it's pretty popular around lunchtime. Just make sure you have a visual Google translate equivalent on your phone because the ticket machine where you order your food is in Japanese only.
