I am almost 70 years old and you must understand that I grew up in a free world. I am poor, I don't go out much. Shopping is one of the few things I can look forward to. I don't have much money and don't buy alot of groceries. I like self-checkout because I like to take my time, bag carefully, and make sure I see the prices I am paying for each item. Today an employee approached me to count my items and she knew I had cat food cans and that would put me over 25 items. She said she had seen me before and I have been told before and I really try not to go over. Why is this such an issue? I was humiliated. You can have a bag of a dozen bagels but it is one item. Cat food cans are small but each one adds up. Why do you send your employees after the customers as if they are criminals? How about a reasonable leeway? You are not supposed to complain about customers! I feel sorry for young people who don't know what friendly world is like. I am hungry. I am buying my food. This is America and you are ridiculous. I'd rather get ripped off at Whole Foods and be treated like a citizen. And by the way, after I went to the regular check out my items were damaged of course. Kindness please!!!!!

Deli department is ridiculous. They intentionally have an extremely high display setup to block the view of workers and how they're cutting your order. You have to place the order through a computer screen forcing zero interaction. I'm tall so I was able to see over the display at 4 of 5 workers just standing around joking and gossiping while I wait for my order. After 15 minutes of listening to their nonsense it became to frustrating so left it. I'd rather drive a little farther to a different ShopRite or even pay Wegmans prices for better service.
