Small store; the lines were very long. The staff made all customers file into 1 line and directed them to either self-checkout or an employee checkout.

Its wonderful for me. Things I need at the right prices and easy to find the items and the deli persons nice. I met Wayne who cooked my egg omelet the way I wanted it who was courteous, nice and with wide toothy smile I like very much. I've been a regular for years now and seems to me this branch seldom or even rarely disappoint me. Another one who helped me is Daniel at the seafood section..he was nice and even put my shrimps inside a bag of ice and bag again so it would not leak. He deserves more than just a thank you. That kind of guys making customers happy.

I've yet to find the perfect supermarket, but the Shoprite of White Plains, competing with its downstairs mall mate Target, two Stop and Shops, a Whole Foods, and at least one independent supermarket (one that' s had at least 3 different owners/names in the last 10 years) one of the better places for groceries in the city and maybe the county. It's a fairly recent store, with lots of fresh produce, its own bakery, a meat department that offers butcher service, a fresh seafood department, and hot food stations that compete well in quality with nearby delis and fast food options. Today was my second visit this week, as I'd been there yesterday to buy shredded four cheese pizza blend cheese, and wound up buying a few other items. today, I had to pick up prescriptions from the CVS at Target (my major ding at ShopRite - closing their pharmacy a few years ago in a remodel), so I went in to find one item I'd forgotten yesterday, that I'd spotted last week- no added sugar ketchup. I'd noticed they had the standard13oz bottle of NSA Heinz on my last visit, but, having more shopping time, I found they had a competing brand that was lower in sodium. I considered trying it, but, after continuing my browse, found they had an almost 30 oz bottle o Heinz NSA for much less than 2 13 oz bottles would cost. Score! And now I have enough ketchup to last for, well, quite some time. This is also the store that carries Schmidt's 647 high fiber bread, which has never gone out of stock ever since I pointed out to the store manager that "this item sells out without ever running a special. You should stock more of it." They've stocked more of it, and it gets restocked regularly enough that I haven't seen it out of stock since then. (Plus I found out when the bread shelves get restocked, so I can always shop that day or the next day to be safe.) I recently tried a no added sugar apple pie from the fresh bakery items, and - I'm on my second pie.
