Newport Beach Pier is what you should see after having a meal at Shorebird. Invite your family with you to have tasty steak tacos, spicy chicken sandwiches and fried chicken wings. Nothing can be better than tasting good waffles, blueberry pancakes and beignets. Some guests recommend delicious wine, Mimosas or white sangria at this restaurant. Visit this place and try great espresso or good chocolate frappe.

A cozy place with a beautiful interior is all you need for a holiday with your family. The well-trained staff shows a high level of hospitality at Shorebird. A number of visitors say that the dishes are offered for attractive prices. 4.6 is what this place received from the Google rating system.

Very poor customer service for a high end restaurant. Upon arrival, we were informed that a "view" table for the night of the boat parade would require each person to order from a $100 fixed price menu. This was not communicated in the numerous confirmation calls from the restaurant. Nonetheless, we agreed and sat down. (BTW, this was a night where they needed some business as the place was only half full, likely due to the traffic nightmare of the boat parade.) Having agreed to this, we then had the slowest service imaginable. We had reserved a Lyft ride on this busy night for 2 hours and 20 minutes after our start time. 2 hours later our entrees were just arriving! Needless to say, we had to cancel that ride, resulting in a charge. At the end of the dinner, we had to wait 25 minutes for a new ride. But this was not the end... We were presented with a bill for over $1,400, greatly inflated by the numerous drinks we ordered waiting for our food and a 20% service charge. Profitable night for them. When I asked for a simple, minor, insignificant credit of just $25 they refused! Said they had to call the General Manager for approval. What restaurant doesn't give the employees that little amount of leeway? It was mind boggling. No wonder that our server didn't really seem to care about our experience. I’m new to Google Reviews- but I should definitely be checking out Google’s recommendations much more often. Came here just to review my recent experience with exceptional service from Rudi at Shorebird. Now, seeing and reading others’ comments, I am making a mental note to revisit since all these photos show how decadent their menu is and how beautiful their ambiance looks. I can only comment that their takeout service is superb. I already feel like it’s a special occasion even with their takeout sushi! Rudi prepares some of the best sushi rolls I’ve enjoyed! I loved all his recommendations. Thank you so much, Rudi! By far one of my best restaurant experiences I’ve come across here, being new to Newport Beach. Rudi, and your staff are fantastic, Shorebird.
