I was honestly shocked by the experience. We arrived at 8:25 p.m. to dine in at a restaurant that doesn’t close until 9:00 p.m., yet the chairs were already up and the staff made it very clear they were annoyed that we wanted to eat inside. While making our pizza, employees were openly complaining and saying things like, “We should just say our last order is 8:30.” If your posted closing time is 9:00 p.m., customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience for arriving 35 minutes before closing. What was even more concerning was hearing a staff member joke about a takeout order, saying, “It’s going to be extra salty since they want to order so late.” Whether it was meant as a joke or not, that’s completely unprofessional and unacceptable to say within earshot of customers. Closing procedures should never begin in a way that makes paying customers feel unwelcome during normal business hours. If the staff wants to stop serving customers at 8:30, then the restaurant’s posted hours should reflect that.

I love short stop and have been coming since I was little. Tonight the manager has hit an all time low. After an incorrect quote on delivery time, I called to see if there was something wrong with the order or just busy, I was then told that it was my fault and that I was not believed that I was told this waiting time. After asking for compensation, further argument was had. This is very frustrating and made me sad to know that correct management was not taught to this employee. Arguing with a customer about what they were previously told is the issue here. Brooklyn not recommended what so ever, all you had to do was say sorry and that the additional wait time (over 2 hours) would take off a couple dollars for inconvenience. Not that because it’s a Friday night and they were understaffed and that the words of their employees were fully taken over customers. Crazy
