Thank you Shovels management and crew. The bar staff were polite. You guys are still doing well after so many years. It has been about 15 years since I last jolled at my local (Shovels) and it was amazing to be back. Keep up the good work.

We were greeted with hostility and violence by the so called bouncer, we provided them with our SA Id documents and drivers licenses where the bouncer could not determine our age after receiving the ids, he proceeded to insult us for coming to the restaurant and not bringing a birth certificate with which is completely ridiculous. He then continued to use racial slur as one of the members of our group was not white after this altercation at the door we did not even want to enter the poorly run and staffed establishment

Not a bad place but went there recently and was disrespected by the “bouncer” or whatever that man outside was supposed to be we came with all our IDs and he just proceeded to get aggressive and in our faces and shouting at us and asking us rude questions by the time he said one of us could go in we just left as it was so ridiculous, he was so rude and lost 4 perfectly fine paying customers for the establishment
