Tried to go here an hour before closing for a quick drink, (it was pretty much empty) and the waitress asked if we had reservations, my wife said no and asks to sit 2 at the bar. The waitress looks back and sees there’s space for two, goes to open to door to let us in and give me a good look up and down then says we have to be in a group of 3 minimum.. I started laughing, as she just made up the rule to not let us in because I’m not Asian. Shameful

I've been wanting to go to "Yamato Sakasai Shunbo", an izakaya near Kintetsu Nara Station that's famous for its Yamato meat chicken, Yamato vegetables, and local sake. They have a wide selection of local sake, all the dishes are delicious, and the staff is very friendly. I would like to come again.
