I had lunch at Shunbou inside the Grand Hyatt and it ended up being one of the best meals I’ve had in all of Japan. Yes, it’s definitely on the pricey side, but the service and attentiveness from the staff completely justify the cost. From the moment I sat down, everything felt thoughtful and refined. The staff were incredibly polite, attentive without being intrusive, and made the entire dining experience feel special. The food itself was outstanding. The curry udon is an absolute must-try—rich, comforting, and full of deep flavor. I also ordered their lunch special Japanese meal, which was beautifully presented and delicious from start to finish. Every dish tasted fresh, balanced, and carefully prepared. Between the quality of the food, the presentation, and the exceptional service, this was a truly memorable lunch.
