The service from the young lady attending around 4 pm on Saturday 6th, April, was quite poor. I was with a group of friends, and we ordered gelati and a tiramisu. When we went to sit down, the table next to the sofa was positioned in such a way that I couldn't easily sit down, so my friend helped me by moving it slightly. Immediately, this person called our attention, stating that we couldn't move the table. When my friend explained that she was only doing it so I could get in, the waitress bluntly told her, "I saw you." The service was appalling. They should stop operating in such venues and cease exploiting the name of Toronto's oldest gelateria. They do not live up to the title. The week for me is not complete with a visit or 2 to Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe. Mario and his team, know my order each and eveytime I go in. Their menu is amazing, especially the soups and sandwiches, and of course who doesn't love dessert?....so many great options to choose from, like ice-cream, tartufos, tiramisu, cheese-cake, the list goes on. But to top it all off, the service is friendly, amazing and the atmosphere is definately family oriented. Thanks for hanging in during these turbulent times Mario, College Street wouldn't be the same without Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe!!
