My second time at Side Eye and it was super enjoyable once again, with excellent service. The steak, which I believe was a special the first time I came, was one of the best I have ever had. The asparagus appetizer was also a standout. My mom loved her classic burger and wedge fries. I now am ruined for mussels because now I will feel like something will be missing without a perfectly crispy pork belly accompaniment. The desserts both times were disappointing so I would fill up on the rest of the courses and skip dessert, or grab gelato somewhere after. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best French onion soup in Philly!! I split a bowl with my husband and regretted not getting my own. The fries are thick cut, which I don’t usually like, but somehow they are super crispy on the outside and the perfect fluffy consistency on the inside. They also come with a sour cream and onion dipping sauce that I can’t stop thinking about. They are a must order! Also a shout out for the asparagus and the deviled eggs. For my main, I ordered the the mussels that come with caramelized pork belly in a cream sauce which was simply divine. And Camembert on the juicy burger is a genius move. I really like how they offer both the peppercorn burger with Camembert and a classic pub burger with all the normal fixings. I couldn’t resist taking a bite out of every entree at our table. The atmosphere was also so welcoming and the staff was friendly and helpful. I can’t wait for warmer weather to eat outside on the patio! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great new addition to the area! They kept some of the charm of the old French restaurant that was here while elevating the decor and ambience. The food was great! Extremely flavorful and creative seasonal dishes. Drinks were delicious and reasonably priced as well. The staff and owner were super nice and friendly as well! Definitely recommend giving them a try! Only minor complaint is not slicing up the bread into pieces and maybe having a bit more so we could enjoy the amazing lemon poppy butter more!
