The food and drinks here are exceptional and the staff are just lovely. Inside is air-conditioned with a selection of table sizes catering for groups, singles and everything in between. Outside has smaller tables for 2-4. Nice views of Newport Canals with a near constant easterly breeze. The cakes and pastries are top notch, and not as sweet as they look with just the right level of sweetness (definitely not sickly sweet). Great coffee and tea choices as well as a good selection of other beverages including some beer and wine options. A seasonal lunch menu makes this a destination for all times of the year, and is great in all weather. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Recently visited Sidonie for brunch and found it to be excellent. I had the cheese burger which was really tasty and my partner had French toast which she said was delicious and definitely worth coming back for. The coffee was also good. Would recommend if you’re a local or in the area. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Gourmet Burger

Delicious feta, avocado & tomatoes on GF toast. Good coffee, friendly staff, and a nice view across the lake. Great selection of cakes. Only, thing it is noisy inside when busy, as all hard surfaces. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–40 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
